An exciting opportunity has arisen for a skilled Accounts Assistant to join a leading London office-focused REIT. This role offers the chance to work within an experienced team that values innovation and design. The successful candidate will be part of a robust income stream and flexible financing environment, with the opportunity to contribute to the long-term success of the business. * Permanent, full-time role with a hybrid working patter of 4-days in office. * £35k - £40k DOE

Responsibilities:

As an Accounts Assistant, your role will be pivotal in supporting the day-to-day operations of the Financial Operations Team. You will handle tasks such as bank reconciliations, manual payments, sales and purchase ledger transactions. Your excellent problem-solving skills will ensure tasks are completed to a high standard while maintaining integrity to suppliers. You will also support the Accounts Payable Manager with ad hoc tasks as required.

  1. Responsible for manual payment process/ banking
  2. Responsible for posting all incoming and outgoing payments in the bank
  3. Responsible for all Tenant App transactions and postings
  4. Supporting the sales ledger process and chasing of outstanding invoices
  5. Responsible for Travel and Expenses (Credit Card Scheme)
  6. Sundry/ other debtor balance sheets reconciliations
  7. Support Supplier & Employee Expense payment runs
  8. Complete regular Supplier statement reconciliations
  9. Supporting tax reporting / outstanding VAT
  10. Support monthly CIS Reporting and submissions

The Ideal Candidate:

The ideal candidate for this Accounts Assistant position will bring proven experience from an accounts payable/receivables function within a real estate environment. Your strong bank reconciliation experience, coupled with your proficiency in Excel, will enable you to excel in this role. Knowledge of Construction Industry Scheme would be advantageous. Your excellent communication skills, well-developed organisational abilities, and proactive thinking will contribute significantly to the success of our team.

  1. Experience and knowledge of an accounts payable/ receivables function within a real estate environment.
  2. Bank Reconciliation experience
  3. Experience of Excel to an intermediate standard
  4. Experience using Concur (Advantage)
  5. Knowledge of Construction Industry Scheme (Advantage)
  6. Excellent communication and influencing skills.
  7. Well-developed organisation skills and ability to prioritise workload
  8. Experience of using OCR invoicing system
  9. Excellent time management
  10. Ability to think proactively and use initiative to contribute to the success of the team
