commercial finance assistant

My client are seeking an enthusiastic and driven Commercial Finance Assistant to join their dynamic Business Finance Team at an established retail company.

As a Commercial Finance Assistant, you will play a pivotal role in supporting the reporting of our company's performance and managing crucial financial data. Responsibilities:

• Capture, verify, and upload data to the finance reporting system on a daily/weekly/monthly basis
• Generate and maintain standardised business reports, including sales, margin, product group, market share, and audit & loss prevention
• Support the preparation and posting of Store Costs cross-charging, accruals, and prepayments
• Assist with the development of new reporting and conduct ad-hoc analysis as required
• Collaborate with the Commercial & Reporting Manager, Commercial Analyst, and Commercial & Operations Accounting Manager
  
  Requirements:
• Accounting/Finance Graduate and/or CIMA (Certificate) or ACCA (Foundation) level qualified
• At least one year's relevant experience is desirable
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel, including Lookups, Sumifs, Pivot Tables, and data manipulation
• Good time-management and organizational skills with the ability to work within deadlines
• Keen attention to detail and accuracy
• Strong communication skills and ability to explain financial concepts to stakeholders with varying degrees of financial knowledge
• Effective decision-making skills
• Professional integrity in handling confidential information
