The successful candidate will play an integral role within the finance team, handling a variety of tasks from managing debt ledger processes to monthly project invoicing. What you'll do:

As an Accounts Assistant, your role will be pivotal within the finance team. You'll be involved in numerous roles and processes within finance; from managing debt ledger processes to handling monthly project invoicing. Your responsibilities will also include overseeing the purchase ledger and Sales ledger. You'll have the opportunity to participate in debt meetings, administer the PO management system, review opportunities, enquiries and projects maintenance among other tasks. This role requires excellent attention to detail skills and strong interpersonal skills.

* Manage debt ledger processes and handle monthly project invoicing

* Oversee the purchase and sales ledger

* Participate in debt meetings and administer the PO management system

* Review opportunities, enquiries, and projects maintenance

* Process invoices and expense claims, matching purchase orders with invoices

* Prepare and execute payment runs, reconciling supplier statements and resolving discrepancies

* Generate and send out invoices to customers, monitoring and following up on outstanding receivables

* Process receipts and allocate payments to customer accounts

* Perform credit control, manage customer queries, reconcile bank statements

* Prepare daily and monthly bank reconciliations, manage petty cash transactions, ensure all banking transactions are recorded accurately

What you bring:

The ideal Accounts Assistant candidate will bring along excellent verbal and written communication skills. They will have the ability to adapt their communication style to suit different audiences. They will possess strong interpersonal skills which enables them to work effectively within a team. Their first-class organisation, prioritisation and multi-tasking skills allow them to manage multiple responsibilities efficiently. Above all, they will have excellent attention-to-detail skills which ensure accuracy in all tasks undertaken.

* Strong Transactional Finance background is essential

* Excellent verbal and written skills with the ability to adapt communication styles to suit different audiences is required

* Strong interpersonal skills are crucial for effective teamwork

* First class organisation/prioritisation and multi-tasking skills are necessary for managing multiple responsibilities efficiently

* Excellent attention-to-detail skills are crucial for ensuring accuracy in all tasks undertaken
