Job Title: Compliance Officer – Financial Services

Location: Birmingham (Onsite, 5 days per week)
Contract Type: Temp to Perm
Start Date: Immediate (subject to DBS clearance – approx. 2–3 days)

About the Role

We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Compliance Officer to join our financial services team. This role is critical in ensuring the business adheres to regulatory requirements and manages financial risk effectively. You will work closely with internal stakeholders to maintain compliance frameworks and mitigate risk across all operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor and enforce compliance with financial regulations and internal policies.
• Identify, assess, and report on financial risks within the business.
• Develop and maintain compliance documentation and risk registers.
• Conduct regular audits and reviews to ensure adherence to regulatory standards.
• Liaise with regulatory bodies and respond to compliance queries.
• Provide guidance and training to staff on compliance and risk management.
• Support investigations into compliance breaches and implement corrective actions.

Requirements

• Previous experience in compliance within financial services.
• Strong understanding of financial risk management and regulatory frameworks.
• Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills.
• Ability to work independently and communicate effectively with stakeholders.
• Must pass DBS checks prior to starting (fast-track process).

Contract Details

• Working Pattern: Full-time, 5 days onsite in Birmingham.
• Contract Type: Temporary to Permanent.
• Start Date: Immediate after DBS clearance.
