Commercial Finance Business Partner – Product & Commercial Location: Runcorn (with occasional travel) Function: Finance
We are working with a commercially focused organisation seeking an experienced Commercial Finance Business Partner to join their wider finance team. This is a key role supporting product and commercial functions, partnering closely with senior stakeholders to drive informed decision-making and profitable growth.
The Role
You will provide high-quality financial insight, analysis and challenge across a range of commercial activities. Acting as a trusted business partner, you will support projects, investment appraisals and ongoing performance management, ensuring financial rigour is embedded throughout the business.
Key Responsibilities

Deliver commercial insight and analytical support for projects, process changes and investment appraisals, including post-investment reviews

Analyse investment opportunities and support projects from initiation through to business-as-usual

Challenge and support senior management on business performance, providing root cause analysis and corrective actions

Develop and utilise management information to improve profitability and inform strategy

Lead budgeting and forecasting for agreed business areas in partnership with key stakeholders

Identify emerging revenue, margin and cost trends and quantify impact on P&L and cash flow

Provide market insight and assess potential impacts on business activity

Produce ad hoc management information to support decision-making
About You
-
(ACA / ACCA / CIMA) with post-qualification experience in commercial finance or business partnering roles

Strong background in financial analysis, investment appraisal and business case development

Confident communicator with the ability to influence and challenge constructively

Highly analytical, commercially astute and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment

Advanced Excel skills; experience with financial systems such as SAP is advantageous
