Accounts Payable Clerk – £25,000 to £27,000 | 3-Month Contract | Birmingham City | Hybrid Working

We are currently seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Accounts Payable Clerk for a 3-month contract with a well-established organisation based in Birmingham City Centre. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone looking to contribute to a busy finance team while enjoying the flexibility of hybrid working.

Key Responsibilities:

• Processing high volumes of supplier invoices accurately and efficiently
• Reconciling supplier statements and resolving discrepancies
• Preparing payment runs and ensuring timely payments
• Supporting month-end close activities related to accounts payable
• Liaising with internal departments and external suppliers to resolve queries
• Maintaining accurate records and ensuring compliance with company policies

Requirements:

• Previous experience in an accounts payable or finance assistant role
• Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
• Good working knowledge of Excel and finance systems
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
• Excellent communication skills

Contract Details:

• Salary: £25,000 – £27,000 (pro rata)
• Duration: 3 months
• Location: Birmingham City Centre (Hybrid – 2 days in office, 3 days remote)
• Start Date: Immediate
