An exciting opportunity has arisen for a highly skilled Group Accountant to join a fast-growing, well-backed organisation. This technology-led company specialises in acquiring and building global brands. The organisation has doubled in size over the past 3 years and aims to maintain this ambitious growth trajectory. As part of these growth ambitions, they are looking to develop their finance team through the recruitment of a high-calibre Group Accountant and future FD. Culture is at the forefront of this business and they’re known for successfully promoting healthy work-life balance, development and progression.
What you'll do:
As a Group Accountant, your role will be pivotal in supporting the financial operations of a rapidly expanding organisation. You will be instrumental in preparing both single entity and consolidated statutory accounts under FRS 101. Your expertise will be crucial in documenting and standardising accounting policies across various divisions, ensuring consistency throughout. You will also play a key role in implementing new processes and policies that align with accounting standards. Your responsibilities will extend to assisting with quarterly reviews and yearly audits, liaising with tax advisors, providing technical accounting advice, producing high-level management information for executive meetings, and preparing company secretarial documentation.
What you bring:
The ideal candidate for the Group Accountant role is an ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualified professional with transferable accounting experience. Ideally you will have trained in an accountancy practice, however this isn’t essential. You possess a strong working knowledge of IFRS and have an understanding or experience of audit procedures. Some exposure to group tax would be advantageous. Your strong Excel skills enable you to analyse large volumes of data effectively. Experience using various ERP systems and statutory accounts preparation software is a must. Your excellent communication skills allow you to build strong working relationships across divisions and up to Board level. You have the ability to drive process improvements within a high-growth business.
