Property Accountant – 6 Month Contract
Salary: £22 per hour

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a highly skilled Property Accountant to join a dynamic team. The role is interim, offering the chance to assist with the preparation and issue of service charge reconciliations that span Qube and Horizon following a system change. What you'll do:
As a Property Accountant, you will play a pivotal role in assisting with the preparation and issue of service charge reconciliations that span Qube and Horizon following a system change. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include preparing draft reconciliations using excel templates, reviewing expenditure from both systems, updating floor areas, apportionments, tenant movements and lease exclusions. You will also liaise with Senior Property Accountants as required to deal with any anomalies. Your role will be critical in ensuring the smooth running of the accounting processes.
- Prepare draft reconciliations using excel templates
- Review expenditure from both systems for transfers, accruals and prepayments
- Update floor areas, apportionments, tenant movements and lease exclusions
- Liaise with Senior Property Accountants as required to deal with any anomalies
- Issue completed draft to Senior Property Accountant for Approval
- Process journal transfers and post any Accruals and Prepayments identified
- Create batch upload file for balancing charges/ credits and send to Tenant Admin for issue
What you bring:
The ideal candidate for this Property Accountant role is highly numerate and analytical, with the ability to gather, manipulate and present large quantities of data effectively. You have good systems skills including advanced excel. You are resilient, able to meet tight deadlines, willing to challenge and critically analyse information. Ideally, you have some property industry experience preferably in an accounting role. Your ability to understand and interpret lease provisions ensures appropriate recovery of costs.
