Our client is seeking a proactive and knowledgeable Management Accountant to join their esteemed organisation. The successful candidate will be responsible for the preparation of management accounts, group accounting, overseeing FCA reporting, and managing a small team of qualified accountants.
Responsibilities of the Management Accountant
As a Management Accountant, your role will be pivotal in maintaining the financial health of the organisation. You will take charge of preparing management accounts for external divisions, assisting in group accounting, and ensuring all procedures are up-to-date. Your excellent organisational skills will be put to use as you manage accounts, schedules, KPI's and oversee the month-end process. Furthermore, your ability to connect and cooperate with others will be essential as you liaise with the financial accountant and provide support to the wider finance department.
- Prepare management accounts for external divisions
- Assist in group accounting and preparation of management information
- Maintain up-to-date procedures for journals, accruals, pre-payments, and saving management accounts
- Manage accounts, associated schedules and KPI’s
- Oversee the month-end process ensuring preparation of monthly management accounts
- Liaise with the financial accountant and support the finance department
What the successful candidate will bring
- Qualified Accountant (CIMA, ACCA, ICAEW) with 1-2 years post qualification experience
- Knowledge of management accounts
