Financial Accountant

We are seeking an immediately available part-qualified Financial Accountant to join a high performing finance team within the property and real estate industry. In this 12-month fixed-term contract role, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate accounts, meeting reporting deadlines, and providing cost analysis to support our asset operation and development. The role is 3 days in the office and 3 days working from home.

Responsibilities:

• Take ownership of development-related expenditure, capital expenditure, staff costs, and other expenses within the month-end process, providing accurate and timely information to the business.
• Ensure the accuracy and completeness of accruals and prepayments, including posting journals in Yardi and preparing balance sheet reconciliations.
• Manage working capital balance sheet reconciliations and lead intercompany billing processes.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to drive a stringent procurement process, including raising and reviewing purchase orders, providing coding guidance, and supporting the AP team and Procurement Manager as needed.
• Maintain a strong connection with the FP&A team to support management reporting and budget processes.
• Act as a key contact for external auditors and tax advisors, responding to queries and providing necessary supporting schedules.
• Handle ad hoc requests to support the Financial Accounting and Reporting team.
• Take the lead in the credit card process, coordinating statements, and overseeing the reporting process.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Part qualified ACCA or ACA qualification.
• Strong analytical and logical thinking skills.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to build strong relationships at all levels of the business.
• Advanced Excel skills, including pivot tables and analysis formulas.
• Exceptional attention to detail.
• Self-motivated with the ability to organize and prioritize workload to meet tight deadlines.
• Proactive, flexible, and adaptable to change.
