Group Financial Accountant

Robert Walters – Group Financial Accountant – Permanent – Worcestershire (hybrid) - £55,000 - £65,000 per annum Our client, a leading manufacturing firm is currently seeking a skilled and experienced Group Financial Accountant to join their team. This role is pivotal in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial reporting and management across the group. The Group Financial Accountant will be responsible for overseeing and managing the financial reporting processes within the group. This role requires a detail-oriented professional with a strong background in financial accounting, particularly in a manufacturing environment. The successful candidate will be adept at financial consolidation, reporting, and analysis, and will play a key role in supporting strategic financial decision-making.

Key Responsibilities of the Group Controls Accountant:

• Prepare and review consolidated financial statements for the group in compliance with UK GAAP and IFRS standards.
• Coordinate and manage the monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closing processes.
• Perform financial analysis and variance reporting, providing insights and recommendations to senior management
• Ensure adherence to internal controls and financial policies
• Manage and facilitate external audits
• Implement and oversee financial control measures
• Identify opportunities for improvement in financial processes and systems

Key essential of the Group Financial Accountant:

• ACA, ACCA, or CIMA qualified (or equivalent)
• Strong academic background in accounting and finance.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills,
