Trainee Accountant

My client is an global Environmental Consultancy business. They are currently seeking an entry level candidate,who has an interest pursuing an Accountancy role, to join their Central Accounting Services Team based in Frodsham. This is an exciting opportunity for someone interested in a career in finance, offering full-time training and the chance to work from home once trained.

What you'll do-

  • Process supplier invoices and employee expenses onto the paperless automated accounts system for multiple currency databases
  • Check expense claim receipts against company policy and identify VAT to reclaim in accordance with HMRC guidelines
  • Review CIS deductions and complete returns
  • Deal with supplier queries and requests for payment
  • Verify supplier bank details
  • Process weekly supplier and expense payment runs
  • Perform daily bank reconciliations for sterling and multiple currency accounts
  • Reconcile supplier statements
  • Raise inter-company sales invoices
  • Maintain and reconcile cash flow spreadsheet

What you'll bring-

  • Minimum of 5 GCSE Grades A* to C (or equivalent) including Maths and English
  • Good communication and organisational skills
  • Ability to analyse and interpret data
  • Team player mentality
  • Self-motivated and approachable personality
  • Ability to work to tight deadlines
  • Willingness to embrace change and seek opportunities for improvement
