An exciting opportunity has arisen for a detail-oriented professional to join one of our clients, a leading global blue-chip business, as a Statutory Accounting & Reporting Senior Manager. This role offers the chance to contribute significantly to the organisation's success, working within a multinational environment. You will be responsible for delivering statutory reporting and audit for both regulated and non-regulated entities across the globe. With a competitive salary of £80,000 - £85,000 plus bonus, this Manchester-based position is an excellent opportunity for technically strong finance professionals to provide oversight of the financials across a global organisation.

What you'll do:

As a Statutory Accounting & Reporting Senior Manager, you will play a pivotal role in delivering statutory reporting and audits for both regulated and non-regulated legal entities. You will lead the preparation and review of statutory financial statements while ensuring compliance with all relevant accounting standards and regulations. Your ability to coordinate and manage the statutory audit process will be crucial in this role. Collaborating with cross-functional teams will be part of your daily routine as you align on financial reporting matters and support various business initiatives. Your keen eye for detail will enable you to monitor changes in accounting standards and regulations effectively.

  • Prepare and review statutory financial statements in compliance with relevant accounting standards and regulations.
  • Coordinate and manage the statutory audit process, liaising with external auditors to ensure timely completion and resolution of audit issues.
  • Maintain a deep understanding of applicable accounting standards, regulatory requirements, and industry best practices.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment on financial reporting matters and support business initiatives.
  • Monitor changes in accounting standards and regulations and assess their potential impact on financial reporting processes and controls.
  • Support the development of internal controls and procedures.
  • Manage relationships with external stakeholders, including auditors, regulators, and other relevant parties.
  • Provide updates and training on new IFRs.
  • Regular board reporting and extensive exposure to C-suite individuals.

What you bring:

The ideal candidate for the Statutory Accounting & Reporting Senior Manager role is an ACA or ACCA qualified Accountant with at least five years' experience in accounting and financial reporting. You have proven experience delivering full financial statements from trial balances and have a deep understanding of accounting principles and standards, including IFRS or US GAAP. Your excellent organisational skills enable you to prioritise tasks effectively, and your detail-oriented mindset ensures accuracy in all your financial reporting. You are proficient in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite.

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in accounting and financial reporting
