Role details

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a talented Financial Accountant to join a dynamic team in Birmingham. This role offers the chance to work in a fast-paced environment, where you will be responsible for providing high-quality financial information and contributing to the overall financial strategy. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work with a diverse team, gain exposure to various aspects of the business and play a key role in driving financial performance.

Responsibilities of the Interim Financial Accountant

As a Financial Accountant, you will play an integral role in maintaining and improving the financial health of the organisation. Your primary responsibilities will include preparing accurate financial reports, ensuring compliance with statutory laws and regulations, developing budgets, conducting research on historical financial data, providing insightful information to senior executives, and reviewing financial data regularly. You will be expected to utilise your skills and expertise to drive our financial performance.

  • Prepare accurate monthly, quarterly and annual financial reports
  • Ensure compliance with statutory law and financial regulations
  • Develop budgets and financial plans for the company based on research and data reports
  • Conduct thorough research of historical financial data and analyse financial trends
  • Provide insightful information and expectations to senior executives to aid in long-term and short-term decision making
  • Review financial data and prepare monthly and annual reports

What the successful candite will bring

  • ACCA/ACA/CIMA accountant
  • Public sector experience desirable
  • Proven experience as a Financial Accountant or similar role
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles and procedures
  • Experience with creating financial statements
  • Excellent attention to detail with the ability to spot numerical errors
  • Good organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate complex financial information clearly
