This role offers an exciting opportunity to be the deputy to the Financial Controller, overseeing Head Office reporting and taxation for two legal entities. The successful candidate will have the chance to assist in the preparation of statutory reporting, provide guidance where needed, and oversee all internal projects that involve input from Accounting. This role is perfect for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is looking to take their career to the next level.

What you'll do:

As a Financial Accountant, you will play a crucial role in maintaining financial health and transparency. You will:

  • Provide cover and support for the Financial Controller when required
  • Review all balance sheet reconciliations on a monthly basis
  • Assist in supporting the full Accounts team
  • Coordinate with the team, ensuring all month end close activities are completed in line with the timetable and HQ deadlines
  • Responsible for the production and reporting of IFRS 9 and bad debt reporting to Head Office
  • Support the Internal and external audit team

What you bring:

The ideal candidate for this Financial Accountant position brings a wealth of relevant business knowledge and experience. You should be ACCA or CIMA qualified. A strong understanding of tax and VAT is essential, along with demonstrated leadership skills. Proficiency in Excel and finance house systems is also required. Above all, we're looking for someone with effective written/verbal communication skills who can thrive in our collaborative environment.
