Our client is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Finance Manager to join their dynamic team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to be part of a thriving organisation, where you will play a crucial role in supporting the Financial Controller and wider finance team. You will have the chance to utilise your accounting knowledge and skills, while also having the opportunity to assist in the implementation of SAGE 200. The ideal candidate will be AAT qualified or part qualified, with a strong understanding of accounting and bookkeeping procedures.

Key Responsibilities-

  • Supporting the Financial Controller and wider finance team
  • Maintaining accurate and timely accounting records
  • Assisting in the preparation of monthly management accounts and annual accounts as detailed in the timetables
  • Providing weekly flash information to Group
  • Performing month end reconciliations of key control accounts including all bank reconciliations
  • Preparing and submitting weekly BACS payment run
  • Maintaining Fixed Asset Register
  • Overseeing monthly payroll & pension submissions
  • Preparing VAT return
  • Reporting and analysis as requested
  • Assisting with SAGE 200 implementation

What you bring-

  • Proven work experience as a Finance Assistant, Finance Manager or similar role
  • Strong knowledge of accounting and bookkeeping procedures
  • Proficiency in MS Excel (creating spreadsheets and using financial functions)
  • Familiarity with accounting software (Sage 50 & 200)
  • Excellent organisational and time-management skills
  • High level of attention to detail, with an ability to spot numerical errors
  • AAT Qualified or part qualified
