Accounts Assistant

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Accounts Assistant to join a dynamic Central Accounting Services Team. This role offers the chance to work in a fast-paced environment, supporting a large number of businesses across the UK and Europe. The successful candidate will be part of a team that delivers transactional accounting, period-end close and compliance reporting services.

Key responsibilities:

  • Process supplier invoices and employee expenses onto the paperless automated accounts system for multiple currency databases
  • Check expense claim receipts against the company expense policy and identify VAT to reclaim in accordance with HMRC guidelines
  • Handle supplier queries and requests for payment
  • Verify supplier bank details
  • Process weekly supplier and expense payment runs
  • Review CIS deductions and complete returns

Person Specification:

  • AAT or similar accounting qualification will be an advantage or qualified by experience
  • Good communication and organisational skills
  • Ability to analyse and interpret financial data
  • Team player
