ACCOUNTS ASSISTANT Salary: 32000 We are looking for a dynamic and committed Accounts Assistant to join a fast-paced finance function. The successful candidate will be supporting daily banking and reconciliation activities, and month-end tasks, this role provides an excellent platform for career growth and development.

What you'll do:

As an Accounts Assistant, you will play a pivotal role in supporting our finance operations team. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include managing daily banking activities, performing reconciliations, and providing support to our credit control function. You will also be involved in preparing various reports, dealing with customer queries, and working closely with other departments on stock management. This role requires excellent organisational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines.

* Assist with daily banking and reconciliation activities

* Support credit control functions as requested by the credit controller

* Prepare daily/weekly reconciliations of bank accounts, credit card income, other income and receipts

* Work on stock (ordering, updating on system, adjusting) alongside other departments such as Operations

* Investigate and prepare credit requests alongside other departments like Customer Services and Operations

* Support external reporting requirements such as VAT return preparation and delivery of year-end accounts to the auditors

* Deal with customer queries, on the phone and by email

What you bring:

The ideal Accounts Assistant will bring a wealth of experience in finance operations. You will have proven proficiency in Excel including Vlookup, pivot tables, SUMIFS. Your excellent communication skills will enable you to partner confidently with stakeholders across the business. As a self-motivated individual, you'll have exemplary organisational skills that allow you to manage your own workload effectively. Your excellent time management skills will ensure that you can work efficiently towards deadlines.

* Proficiency in Excel (Vlookup, pivot tables, SUMIFS)

* Excellent communication skills with confidence in partnering with stakeholders

* Self-motivated with exemplary organisational skills

* Ability to multi-task and manage own workload effectively

* Excellent time management skills with the ability to work to deadlines

* Experience of working with general ledger systems, ideally Intact IQ
