Robert Walters are partnered with a growing business in central Liverpool who are seeking to recruit a part qualified financial reporting accountanat to join a thriving team The Financial Reporting Accountant role is responsible for the delivery of Management Information and Financial Accounting activity for the business. The right person for this role will ideally be part qualified Accountant (ACCA/CIMA or equivalent finalist.
Key Responsibilities • Preparation of divisional management accounting information, with analysis and commentary on key variances and trends. • Reconciliation of Balance Sheets, with documented evidence and calculations • Report each period on relevant transactional activity. • Able to present and report on accurate and timely visibility of accruals, prepayments and other Balance Sheet control accounts. • Extensive VAT, PAYE & Corporation Tax knowledge and able to complete and submit a variety of statutory returns in a timely and accurate manner • Reconciliation of intercompany accounting transactions • Proactive support for the preparation of statutory accounts and annual audit, liaising with external auditors, preparing Lead Schedules and reconciliations, as required. • Development and on-going production of capital expenditure monitoring, reporting and control • Maintain short and medium-term cash flow forecasting to support decision making • Advanced Excel skills and experienced in additional data analysis and reporting applications
Key Requirements • Part-qualified or above ACA/ACCA/CIMA accountant (or equivalent) • Ability to work independently and as part of a wider team • Excellent General Ledger reconciliation skills • Highly accurate and detail orientated with a proven track record for data analysis • Knowledge of current Corporation Tax and VAT legislation • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications with strong experience in Excel • Excellent organisational and time management skills, with proven resilience and the ability to work under pressure and achieve reporting deadlines. • A proactive and flexible, ‘can do’ attitude with a strong sense of honesty and integrity • Ability to be diligent and retain high levels of concentration and accuracy at all times
