As a result of growth, we are working in partnership with a well-known retailer who is looking to recruit a Commercial Finance Analyst into their impressive finance team. Reporting into the Retail Planning Manager, you will be building relationships with the non-finance teams, a keen eye for detail and the confidence to analyse and challenge the numbers.
Full time, permanent role. Central London based, 3 days in the office.

Further responsibilities include:

• Responsible for the management of budget holders’ capex requests ensuring that it is correctly invested, accounted for, and controlled within budget.
• Carrying out post-project audits, summarising the impact and using that analysis when considering future investment appraisals.
• Monitoring spend against budget on a frequent basis to ensure the business understands any deviations from cash spend projections.
• Management of the depreciation budgets, liaising with budget holder partners across the business to understand, challenge and review their 3-year forecast, before presenting in a clear and summarised way to the Board.
• The monthly and annual accounting of various Head Office Department costs, including variance analysis and assist in the building of the Departmental Budgets and challenge spend.
• Assist the wider team with any ad-hoc financial & commercial analysis.
• Building and maintaining strong working relationships with Business Finance team, Operations Finance team, senior leadership including Finance Director and Managing Director.

Successful applicants will be degree educated with a minimum 2:1 degree and/or part-qualified accountant ACCA/CIMA. As the role involves sharing key financial information and analysis with the business; a high level of accuracy and attention to detail is key. The commercial finance team works with multiple areas across the business, so having a collaborative work ethic is key in addition to intermediate MS Excel skills (Essential).
