This well established market leader in the construction industry are recruiting for a External Reporting Accountant to join the business based in Warrington on a hybrid basis.
A key role for the Financial Reporting Accountant in the Group Finance team is to support the delivery of both the external half year and year end reporting. This involves both statutory reporting (including the audit process), and reporting UK results up to Group. This role also involves the more technical areas of the head office entities management accounting and reporting, including the budget/reforecast processes. Key Responsibilities: Reporting to the Group Financial Controller your key responsibilities will be; ● Supporting the Group Financial Controller with timely and accurate planning and completion for all UK statutory accounts. ● Primary contact for external auditors to provide supporting documentation/information requests for the HO audits. ● Support the Group Financial Controller to produce consolidated accounts on monthly basis, at half year and full year. ● Maintain knowledge on new accounting standard developments (FRS 101, FRS 102 and IFRS). ● Monthly accounting and reporting for head office functions ● Assistance in preparation of Group budgets. ● PowerBI balance sheet reporting.
Key requirements; ● A qualified accountant (ACA/ ACCA or equivalent) ● Experience in financial reporting (involvement with statutory accounts and management accounts) or a background in external audit preferred. ● Advanced Excel skills ● Good, up to date, understanding of IFRS ● Strong communication and presentation skills, and the ability to communicate effectively to a wide range of stakeholders across the business.
