A journey of growth, ambition, and opportunity, Susie's career has flourished with Robert Walters.
Susie Wei’s journey began in Taiwan, where she was born, but her story took an interesting turn when her family moved to Edinburgh, Scotland. Adjusting to a new country came with its challenges, like learning a new language and navigating cultural differences. Her international background shaped her drive to push boundaries and seek new opportunities.
After earning her MSc in Human Resource Management from the University of Edinburgh, Susie’s passion for helping people find the right career path drew her to recruitment and led her to Robert Walters. After several interviews with the Japan office and a visit to the London team, she made the bold decision to move to Tokyo to work as an associate in the Sales & Marketing Online team.
A few years later, Susie returned to the UK, where she now serves as a Manager, overseeing a dual desk specialising in both interim and permanent marketing recruitment. Robert Walters supported her growth through continuous training in recruitment, management, and sales, helping her refine her skills and advance within the firm.
The company’s culture, balancing hard work with community engagement, has also been key to Susie’s journey. She has participated in volunteer days, charity events, and community activities, adding fulfillment to her career.
Through structured training and mentorship at Robert Walters, Susie has honed her recruitment expertise and gained a deep understanding of the marketing industry. The dynamic nature of her role, with its fast-paced challenges and opportunities to connect talent with businesses, keeps her motivated.
