This is an exciting appointment for someone looking to join a FTSE 100 real estate investment trust in a key position within the treasury team. You will be confident with treasury management systems and take full ownership for the system maintenance while having broad exposure to all areas of treasury operations and strategy.
The Treasury Systems Analyst role has the following responsibilities:
- Maintenance of the treasury system (Quantum) ensuring the accuracy of its data and the ability to upload third party data
- Validation and analysis of treasury numbers (debt, interest and fair value etc) in group financial statements and budgetary performance with the ability to explain differences between the two view points
- Preparation of regular risk, performance and position reporting including weekly Treasury pack and input into the board reports
- Crystal / Business Objects report writing
- Investment of short term cash surpluses and other dealing activity
- Maintenance of financial instruments recorded in Bloomberg for valuation purposes
- Monitoring the integrity of the group’s payment systems and controls
- Calculation of mark-to-market valuations of Treasury instruments with comparison to third party valuations
- Monitoring investment performance and valuation (Money Market Funds and Commercial Mortgage Backed Securities)
- Responsible for managing the treasury/accounting interface and ensuring that deliverables under the accounting timetable are met
- Provision of information from Quantum into the cashflow forecasting model (excel based);
- Coordination and testing of disaster recovery facilities for Treasury
- Ensure compliance with Treasury policies and procedures
- Ad hoc duties and supporting the Assistant Group Treasurer as required
We are looking for the following:
- ACCA/CIMA/ACA qualified
- Practical accounting experience ideally with an understanding of financial derivatives
- Previous exposure to Quantum or another TMS combined with Crystal/Business Objects report writing skills
- High attention to detail, strong analytical skills, and the ability to interrogate and challenge the accuracy of data
- Advanced Excel skills
The role is challenging and demanding. You will work closely with, and provide cover for, the Treasury Analyst (Cash & Settlements), the Assistant Group Treasurer and formally report to the Group Treasurer
