Robert Walters have been instructed to shortlist a Final Debt Credit Controller on behalf of a leading Services organisation based in Warwickshire. Reporting to the Senior Credit Control Manager you will embrace a varied and challenging remit.
Overview:
To control the final debt ledger
To control and maintain the third party referral processes
Responsibilities:
Collect debt where the early arrears processes have failed to recover the monies.
Reduce the bad debt & minimise write offs.
Ensure that the processes and individual cases are compliant with regulatory controls.
Ensure that referrals to third party agencies are completed in a timely manner
Identify, record and report all disputes to correct teams for resolution.
Weekly reporting on performance of third party agencies
Ensure that accurate records are kept of all insolvent customers and that processes are followed.
Deal with queries and disputes and decide on escalation of cases where appropriate
Actively follow up disputes to ensure speedy resolution where other teams/colleagues are required to action.
Attend hearings at court when necessary
Any other duties which may be assigned to you by your manager.
Person Specification:
Ability to adapt and take responsibility for own learning and development
Telephone Debt Collection experience
Innovative, able to respond to change quickly and problem solve effectively.
Ability to work effectively within a team
Analytical and able to take commercial view in dealing with individual cases
Able to manage large volumes of cases for referrals and reporting
The ability to work effectively under pressure
