One of our key accounts is currently recruiting for a Database Analyst / Business Reporting Manager. They have experienced significant revenue growth for the first quarter of 2010 and as a result are expanding to take advantage of their market leader position.

The ideal candidate will be an individual with good financial awareness that is competent in VBA, Excel and TM1 and is capable of writing detailed and often complex SQL extract scripts. With these abilities the rest should be easily picked up.


Tools:
• Advanced Microsoft Office user in particular Excel 2003/7
• VBA
• TM1 (currently version 8.4.3)
• Microsoft Dynamics
• SQL Server Reporting Services
• Hyperion Financial Management & HFM Smartview
• SAGE MMS
• Microsoft Dynamics

Knowledge:
• Good financial understanding to interpret reporting requirements and test results.
• Needs to have a good understanding of database and table structures.
• Needs to be able to administer TM1 and build reports from cubes in Excel
• Be able to write SQL scripts for use with TM1 and VBA.


Role:
• Creating SQL scripts to interrogate the reporting services table structure created to mirror Microsoft Dynamics and SAGE MMS and building clear and accurate reports for the business users at all levels.
• Building and preparing month-end pack with finance team for presentation to group which require the ability to use HFM & HFM Smartview
• Developing tools to aid the finance and commercial teams in their duties (journal templates with validations, budget and re-forecasting packs with spreading tools etc)
• Preparing and maintaining client reporting models with commercial managers.
• Uploading budget & re-forecast data to HFM and building reconciliation reports for validation purposes.
