Robert Walters have been instructed to shortlist an Operations Manager on behalf of leading distributor of specialist products organisation. This is a multi-functional role that will include responsibility for managing the sales process from order to fulfilment. In addition planning and execution of a stock and supply chain planning, new product information and marketing promotions.
Core responsibilities:
Provide direction and support to on-site staff. Responsible for managing day to day staff issues including recruitment, selection, evaluation, training and development
Performance reporting
Lead initiatives to continuously improve throughput, quality, productivity, cost, delivery and working capital turnover within the order fulfilment, technical support and repair value streams
Work collaboratively with the operations planning team to develop demand and inventory plans to support sales within the territory
Responsible and accountable for planning and budgeting of staff, facilities and services
Monitor and ensure accuracy of data entered and maintained by staff to company standards
Manage facilities and services needs for site
Provide support as needed to other departments to meet organisational goals and objectives
Oversee routine accounting / finance reporting and analysis functions
Candidates must possess excellent planning, organisation and administration skills together with strong communication and customer service expertise. Individuals with experience in the Health Care, Pharmaceuticals or Biotic arena would be of particular interest. As this is a new business set up (although the global business is very established) candidates must also be able to prioritise, adapt and work on their own initiative.
