Robert Walters are recruiting an Internal Auditor on behalf of a leading global manufacturing business based in the midlands. With a high degree of autonomy this role offers exceptional opportunities for a first time mover from a Top 10 Practice who is seeking a management level position in a leading business.

Reporting directly into the Groups Chief Financial Officer, you will carry out independent examinations of the procedures, processes and management controls exercised throughout the global business. Key accountabilities will include:

• Undertake audit assignments throughout the UK business, up to 30% UK travel required.
• Detailed audit work, planning and execution
• Testing systems and controls and assessing risks
• Liaison with local, divisional and corporate management
• Agree findings with local and divisional management
• Produce draft report and executive summary
• Hold exit meeting with local management to confirm findings
• Agreed recommendations for improving the control environment

This is an excellent opportunity for a first time mover from Practice to secure an exciting and vibrant role in Industry. You will be ACA or ACCA qualified (or overseas equivalent) having experience of auditing large complex business in the manufacturing / engineering sectors. You will have excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build relationships at all levels. A generous package is offered with basic salary up to £45k plus 5% bonus, private health and company pension.
