A global Investment Bank requires a Product Controller to perform an independent control function over the Bank’s trading and banking activities in Germany.


This role is based in Frankfurt. Relocation will be offered to any UK based candidates who are interested in this role.

Main roles and responsibilities:
·Production, analysis and reporting of daily P&L for Frankfurt Primary and Secondary Bonds businesses including funding / repo and swaps
·Front to Back reconciliations including month-end general ledger (SAP)
·Valuation of trading positions (price testing)
·Ad hoc projects to implement new systems, products and processes
·Liaise closely with Trading Desk, Financial Control, Operations, IT as well as PCG London
·Maintenance of a strong control environment


Key skills and experience required:
·Graduate degree or equivalent in related subject (business / science) from top tier university
·Accounting qualification preferred
·Professional experience in the Investment Banking sector, preferably in the Finance area
·Product Control experience
·Strong analytical skills
·Fluency in English, German beneficial
·Accounting knowledge (IFRS)
·Excellent IT skills, especially MS Excel
·Knowledge of financial instruments preferred, specifically bonds and interest rate derivatives
