Our client is a major UK and international law firm with a strong worldwide network of correspondent law firms that enables them to service client needs in over 120 countries.

The successful candidate may have experience in principal areas of practice in commercial law including banking, leasing, project and asset finance both local and international. Aviation with particular emphasis on aircraft acquisition and disposal and the start up and running of airlines is desirable. You will lead, manage and develop a small team of aviation lawyers.

You will ideally be 6+ PQE, with partnership aspirations and a strong academic background, training and experience gained within a well recognised firm. Experience and exposure to a wide range of commercial matters, in particular, drafting and negotiating commercial contracts such as financial, maintenance and leasing contracts, is also preferable. Also, in-house aviation-related commercial contracts experience would be useful but not essential.

The successful candidate should be confident and have the initiative to assume responsibility and take a pro-active and commercial approach to issues. You will ideally have previous client contact, a desire to deal with clients directly on a day to day basis, a genuine interest in marketing and the Middle East, and the ability to foster long-term client relationships.
